An amateur film by Elizabeth, Lady Knott filmed on the island of Jersey that shows people enjoying Plemont Beach and taking part in a local dog show taking place at the Jersey showground. From the deck of the motor yacht Princess views around the Jersey coastline passing Mont Orgueil Castle, the quarry at Ronez Point and Corbiere Lighthouse. The final part of the film shot in and around in the gardens of Samares Manor showing Elizabeth riding a horse and Sir James Knott in a motorised buggy.
The film opens on views of burning grass or moorland. The film cuts to show Sir James Knott seated in a small-motorised buggy speaking with a young boy standing next to him.
The film cuts to show a popular beach possibly Plemont Beach on Jersey. Cliffs surrounded the sandy beach and a walkway leading up the cliff side away from the shore. An older man comes out of the water cuts to two girls and a boy splashing around happily in the surf. As the man walks across the sand away from the camera, the children walk along the surf edge, the younger boy on the back of one of the older girls.
A brief view of sunrise or sunset from Samares Manor cuts to the Jersey Showground and men in white coats holding the leads of a number of small terrier dogs. Judges look over one of the dogs followed by it being walked up and down by one of the men in white coats. In the background a pavilion and other building with large advertising hoardings and a small crowd watching proceedings.
The film cuts to show a number of owners standing beside their dogs, this time of various breeds. Again, a judge comes over and looks them over.
The film cuts to a boat travelling along the coast of the island and past Mont Orgueil Castle. From the deck of the Princess a small group look out at to sea, one man looks through a pair of binoculars.
General views along the Jersey coastline intercut with a woman and two boys on deck. As the ship passes the quarry at Ronez Point, dusk comes down the cliff and a cargo ship is docked along a quayside. The ship passes Corbiere Lighthouse and seabirds are seen resting on a rock.
Along a quayside, chauffeur Richard Ashton stands holding Elizabeth’s dog. The sequence ends on four women and two men pose for the camera on the deck of the ship.
The film cuts to show Elizabeth and two men riding on horseback along the driveway leading to Samares Manor. Elizabeth remains on horseback in the stable yard.
In his motorised buggy, Sir James is driven along a pathway in the garden at Samares Manor. The film cuts to show Sir James and a younger man sitting in the buggy smoking. The film ends with Elizabeth’s dog looking down at the fish in one of the garden ponds.
