The film opens on the Town Moor at Newcastle and views showing various pieces of agricultural equipment on display in front of a large building and a small boy in striped blazer posing for the camera. The film cuts to show the boy holding the reins of a full sized model bull.
The boy watches a man with a stick leading a pig past a number of covered pens followed by him standing beside a vintage tractor. General views show a display various tractors and other agricultural equipment all painted red under a large sign with the initials ‘C.W.S.’ General views follow of the site where two men looking over a red bailer machine on display.
A man holding the boy’s hand walks out of the showground past a small crowd. The film cuts to show large letters standing across the entrance to the showground that reads ‘Royal Agricultural Society of England’.
The film changes to show a crowd of well dressed women and children sitting around a marked out track on the sports field at Newlands Preparatory School in Gosforth. Sitting nearby a number of small boys sit beside a large marquee.

A man leads a boys onto the sports field, the film cuts to the boys taking part in a sack race jumping along the track. This is followed by the boys taking part in an egg and spoon race, some of them dropping their eggs on the grass. General views follow of the boys taking part in various races including another sack race as well as relay race. The film ends on the page of a school brochure that reads ‘School Sports’.
