A short amateur film showing a group of animators, possibly students of Bede College in Durham, producing an animated film. From the light of a desk lamp, the group prepare to shot their film. A number of drawings are placed onto an animation board and a frame of film is taken. The exercise is repeated. The film ends with one of the animators writing down presumably the title of their production. The film opens on a group of animators gather round a desk illuminated by desk lights. They appear to be discussing drawings for their latest film. A tripod is erected over the desk, and a pair of hands places a series of paper drawing onto the desk presumably under the camera attached to the tripod. On an animation board there is a cartoon drawing of a duck or chicken. The next drawing is an owl in flight. An overhead view shows an animator at work. On the animation board set below the lamps the animator removes a drawing of a man and replaces it with another similar drawing. He repeats the action presumably photographing each drawing to create a film frame so that the end result will give the illusion of movement in the final film. One of animators draws in additions to one of the drawings, he then writes the words 'The Spring '(?) on a sheet of paper as the film ends.
