A Tyne Tees Television report with Ann Avery who is testing out a new type of bullet resistent glass by allowing herself to be shot at through the glass with a Colt 45 revolver. This report was transmitted 14 September 1976.
Standing in a field, reporter Anne Avery to camera states that she has been in some strange situations, ‘but this takes the biscuit’. She is going to stand in a ‘glass coffin’ and be shot at. She continues to say that there must be easier and less messy ways to get rid of an unwanted reporter.
She is in the field to help test a new kind of bullet resistent glass, which is about to be tested. John Lousley, an expert ex-army marksman, is going to fire a Colt 45 revolver straight at her heart. There is nothing left for her to do but ‘grit my teeth, close my eyes and think of England’. She turns and walks into the cabinet.

There is a close-up of the impact point of the bullet in the glass. It hasn’t gone through. Interview with a man standing beside a van. Anne says that John will now shoot at her again through the glass, this time with a shotgun to see what happens.
