Sitting behind a table in dark jumper is Peter Whitaker looking glum. The film cuts to show Peter now wearing a shirt and tie looking up at the camera smiling. Sitting next to him is Betty Cook who looks across at him with a shocked-smile.
Still sitting behind the table Peter looking down on his lap with his hands moving up-and-down. A small dog jumps up on his lap.
The film cuts back to Peter in the jumper looking down at his lap glumly. He looks up at the camera and shakes his head.
Sitting side-by-side Peter and Betty Look down on their laps sadly. They both look up and shake their heads.
Now facing each other Betty looks down below the level of the camera and takes up a scarf. She points down below the level of the camera and smiles.
The film cuts back to Betty sitting alone looking sad. Again, she shakes her head and shrugs. Standing facing each other Betty and Peter look down below the level of the camera and Betty shrugs again shaking their heads.
Betty holds her face in her hands looking glumly down on the floor.
Peter and Betty face each other again smiling. She writes something in a note book which is attached to the wall.
Again, the film cuts to Peter and Betty sitting next to each other looking glumly downwards. Betty shakes her head sadly. Eventually, she waves her hands dismissively, gets up and walks away.
The camera pans down to reveal a toaster sitting on small table. The film ends with Peter using a match to attempt to toast a slice of bread.
