People walk past one of the empty units inside where there are displays of mounted photographs. As people go inside a number of posters inside the doorway and windows read ‘Jarrow 150 Years of Photographic Images. A Jarrow Festival exhibition at the Northeastern Co-Op Ellison Road Jarrow 15 July – 29th July 1995’.   A series of photographs on display in the exhibition show the town and its inhabitants in times gone by. General views follow of people looking around the exhibition and at various photographs on display. Vince Rea stands holding a glass of wine as he speaks with a man about one of the photos. Standing beside the Mayor of South Tyneside Councillor Mrs Maisie Stewart and Mayoress Mrs Margaret McGee, Vince Rea gives a speech to the visitors about the exhibition. Councillor Mrs Stewart then speaks to the crowd and officially opens the exhibition. The final part of the film shows people looking around the exhibition and discussing the various photographs on display.
