General view of St John the Divine Church, Brooklands, Sale in Manchester. Guests begin to arrive at the church dressed in their best clothes. One of the groom’s male friends, dressed in tailcoat, arrives at the church carrying a bouquet box. Two women are handed an order of service by the best man (with top hat in hand) at the church entrance. Two more young men wearing grey top hats arrive and speak to the cameraman.
More guests arrive, some wearing 1970s fashions.
The wedding photographer takes portraits of the groom and best man. The groom waves to a guest and then waves to camera as he heads into the church.
A couple arrive at the church. Two young women and their mother arrive by car. Both are dressed in 70s maxi dresses and one wears a floppy brimmed hat.
The bridesmaids arrive carrying bridesmaids’ bouquets of white flowers, wearing small white lace hats and dark blue velvet maxi dresses. A small child bridesmaid is with them. All pose for the wedding photographer.
