This holiday footage opens with a general view of a caravan campsite on the coastline near Gairloch in Northern Scotland. Boats are moored on the shoreline. General views of the sea. Travelling shot from a boat including a shot of a steam cruiser moored on the coastline. The boat trip proceeds off the coast of Wester Ross around the bay near Gairloch and towards the islands of Rona and Raasay of the Scottish Inner Hebrides.
Various shots record the family walking through a mountain pass, panoramic views from the mountain, general views of the sea, a steamer at a coastline town harbour, possibly Gairloch, family playing with a dog outside their caravan, more travelling shots of the scenery from a boat, and shots of a rocky coastline.

Across Scotland to the west coast, various shots record highland cattle and scenery on the road to Rhudh Rhe, including a croft with a thatched roof. Some of the family, including two girls, play with a pet dog and calf on the banks of Loch Ness. Shots follow of a waterfall, mountainous scenery around Ben Nevis, general views of the lighthouse on Loch Linhe and scenery beside the tidal loch.

The family is back on the road with their caravan, travelling through the old road into Glen Coe with general views of dramatic mountain scenery and, possibly, Loch Leven. General views follow of Stirling Castle and a rainbow in the landscape.
A peacock is spotted on a road. General views follow of Haggerston Castle in Northumberland, the tower, rotunda and lake. A caravan and car are parked beside the lake. An elderly man with a walking stick walks out of a small, stone gatehouse or summer house.
General views of Dunstanburgh Castle and the shoreline near Craster.
