An amateur film made by members of Guisborough Grammar School of a two week cruise during July and August 1937 aboard the B.I. Troopship “Nevasa” to Norway and Denmark.
The film opens on board the “Nevasa” with views of the surrounding fiords and fellow passengers. Two boys on a ‘greasy pole’ pillow fight. A number of smaller motorboats head away from the ship. At Skjerries Islands a group of boys in swimming costumes dive into the water from a sandy beach. Back aboard two crew members paint the ships funnel. There is a view of a decorated tower at the Royal Castle in Fredriksborg. A group of older men sit around an outside table drinking beer. Back on board several boys take part in a boxing match. A group of men smoke cigarettes and smile at the camera. The film ends on the bow of the boat as it travels through the water.
