Filmed over a number of months or years Linda grows from baby to toddler interacting with other members of the Smith family including uncles Alfred, Harold Martin and Royston and their wives and children often beside caravans the families were living during the summer seasons when the brothers performed in nearby resorts. Baby Linda Smith lays in her pram, she plays with a soft toy and smiles. In a back garden Molly Smith sits feeding Linda from a bottle, beside her an older couple and young girl. The woman takes off a dressing gown to reveal a colourful bathing costume, the man sitting on a deckchair waves at the camera. A third woman appears carrying a chair. Close ups of all the adults faces who smile at the camera. A young boy takes another chair inside a shed. Molly sits on the steps of a caravan feeding baby Linda from a bottle. Linda is held followed by her in a pram. In another garden a family gathering with people sitting on chairs or a blanket on the grass. Close up of Molly’s face, she puts a sweet into her mouth. A family gathering, possibly Linda’s christening with well dress men and women standing around in a street. A man in a bowtie waves, everyone stands together as a group. A second baby and Linda being kissed by those around them. Linda is held by a woman in a fur coat. Molly walks into her caravan, the pram with Linda in it parked outside. Surrounding them several other caravans parked in a walled field with houses beyond it. Stan Smith sits on a wall with his daughter, Molly helps Linda take some steps. Molly and another woman walk along a street with their small children sitting in pushchairs. Back at the caravan site Linda attempts to climb the steps into the family caravan, Molly helps her. A young boy stands beside a tricycle sucking on what appears to be an orange segment. A toddler waddles over standing beside the tricycle with Linda and the boy. Sitting on a blanket Linda uses her fingers to scoop jam out of a jar and eat it. Around the caravan a pen has been erected made from blankets. Several small children play, sitting around them men and women drinking tea and some smoking cigarettes. Linda feeds a dog. [Dark] Linda walks along a Glasgow street with a group of other older girls. She holds up a ball, some of the other children wave. Two women look down from a tenement building. Beside a tennis net Linda and another toddler play together, a young man in sunglasses sitting on a deckchair watches over them. [Partly out of focus] Inside the caravan Linda is bathed, back outside she plays with a Scotty dog. Holding a mop, she helps Molly clean the exterior of the caravan.
