Part two of an amateur travelogue by Frank Wilson that records a holiday in Switzerland travelling to Lucerne, Fluelen, the Rhine Falls, Schynke Platte, Harder Kulm. The spectacular scenery of mountains and valleys is caught on camera, along with contemporary city and townscapes. Title: A Holiday in Switzerland Part 2 The title sequence is filmed as a collection of postcards randomly placed on a table top. Two other cards are thrown on top of the pile. The film opens at an airport (probabaly Newcastle airport) with a view of  a BKS airplane on the runway taking on passengers. The plane takes off. The film cuts to footage taken from a car or coach on mountain roadways showing  rocky streams, hillsides, houses and waterfalls. Title: Lucerne This section begins with general views of a tree lined road, mountains in the background, a city and a low bridge festooned with flags. Boats are moored on the lake and mountains break up the skyline in the distance.. General views follow of the city and the spectacular scenery surrounding it. A man with a walking stick walks towards the camera, and then towards a covered bridge. A map of Switzerland appears and labels indicate locations of Lucerne and Mount Pilatus. A travelling view taken from a railway carriage shows forest covered mountains. The journey on the railway gains height as it travels up a mountain with a view showing the lake below. Snow capped maountains can  be seen in the distance.  Travelling shot from a cable car showing other cars moving up the mountain. A map of Switzerland appears again. A hand holding a pencil shows the locations of Lucerne and Flüelen. Travelling shot from a boat of buildings against a mountain backdrop, cloud covered mountains, and chalet style buildings. A sign on the roof of one of the buildings reads 'Brunnen'. A view from an upper deck of the boat shows the turbulent water at the rear of the boat as it sails on the lake. The man with the walking stick seen earlier walks towards the camera, this time carrying a camera. In the background, a whitewashed church contrasts with the dark green of the forest covered mountain. The man with the camera prepares to take a photo while seated next to a lake. His male companion points out some features. He is then standing on a terrace looking up at the mountain view. At another location, the man with camera stands at the edge of a busy road. More general views follow of the mountain scenery. A map of Switzeland appears again. A hand traces a route across the map, and a label is placed on the map which reads 'Rhine Falls'. General view of waterfall. Tourists stand on a nearby viewing terrace. The man with the stick and camera takes a picture. General views show the fierce stream of water going over the falls. The film cuts to show a view of a wooden building on which a sign reads 'Stein am Rhein',  a historic town and a municipality in the canton of Schaffhausen in Switzerland. Views from a pleasure boat show the river and the town and bridge in the distance. The film cuts to a whitewashed tower attached to a building, with an ornate clock face at the top of the tower. A trackside view follows of an electric train making its way up a steep section of track. General view of a hotel, behind it a huge craggy mountain. Title: Grindelwald Chair Lift Views follow taken from the chair lift, showing empty chairs going down the mountainside and passenegers on another chair lift. Extensive panoramic views show houses and other buildings strewn across the valley floor. The lift passes under the chairlift passengers. A building with the name 'Restaurant Bort' comes into a view, a waitress laying out tables as the lift travels past. General view at the terminus. A man sits at a table and eats some food from a plate, a Swissair bag laying on the table. Two men walk across frozen snow, one wearing a vest!. Two donkeys carry heavy loads down a hillside track. General views follow of a stream winding down a hillside, surrounding valleys and mountains. Another view follows of an electric train. A woman sits at a table on a terrace, beyond the terrace a view across a valley. The electric train appears again, making its way downhill. The map of Switzerland indicates the location Schynige Platte, a small mountain ridge and a viewpoint in the Bernese Highlands. A travelling view from a train shows a town in a valley. The train slowly makes its way up a mountainside.  Tourists walk down a mountain roadway enjoying  the mountain views. Harderkulm is located on a map of Switzerland, a viewpoint at 1,321 metres in the Berner Oberland region of Switzerland, overlooking the towns of Interlaken and Unterseen. Overhead views high above a lake and river.  A viewing terrace allows tourists to take photographs. The man with the walking stick and camera sits at a table and is served with a bottle of beer. A woman nearby looks through a public telescope.
