This film records Middlesbrough police attendance and operations at the 1965 Lord Mayor's Parade in Middlesbrough, a police dog exercise in Stewart Park, and the official opening of the modern Dunning Road Police Station. It also documents the opening of Clairville Stadium, Middlesbrough, by Prince Philip, HRH The Duke of Edinburgh, on Friday July 26, 1963.

It also documents the opening of Clairville Stadium, Middlesbrough, by Prince Philip, HRH The Duke of Edinburgh, on Friday July 26, 1963.
The first sequence captures the Mayor with his wife, wearing a fluorescent pink hat, and other dignitaries as they pass along Corporation Road in the Mayors Day parade. Various groups line the road including a regiment of police, girl scouts, army cadets, and other spectators.
The parade passes along Marton Road. Shots of a military band in the procession.
The Transporter Bridge and shipyard cranes appear in the distant background.

The next sequence is a record of a police dog exercise in a staged theft and murder in Stewart Park, Middlesbrough. A male actor in suit walks along a path in the park. A criminal leaps out of bushes, shoots the man and steals his briefcase. A police van arrives in park and a police tracker dog is used to track the killer. The murderer is caught in the bushes.
The next scene opens with interior shots of the new police station in Dunning Road. A government inspection and official opening of the police station is in progress. The Mayor attends the official opening.
