A group of Boys Brigade youth leave The Church of St Thomas the Martyr, in Haymarket, Newcastle upon Tyne, and assemble around a formal flower bed in St Thomas Green. The flower bed has been grown in the design of the Boys Brigade crest and motto that reads "Sure and Steadfast." Boys are in highland dress with bagpipes and girls are wearing long red frocks. They pose for group photographs.
