Title: To the Arctic in a Modern Trawler
Title: We are indebted to the St Andrews Steam Fishing Co. Hull for their kind assistance and to skipper R.A. Cook and his crew to courtesy through-out this voyage.
The film begins with the trawler in dock at Hull. It is then towed out to sea by tug boat. Out at sea, there are views of the ship travelling through rough seas and men repairing nets. At the fishing grounds, the men haul in their nets, the winch supplied by Clarke Chapman. They are filmed both at day and night sorting, gutting, and putting the fish into ice for storage. There are some portrait shots of the men before the trawler makes its way back to Hull. The film ends at Hull where the fish is unloaded and sold at market.
