Boys participate in a cookery or home economics lesson. Each boy wears a white apron over his school uniform. They all stand around a large wooden table.
Naming the school boat: A wooden sailing boat is being repaired and painted in the school yard. Close-up of a hand and paintbrush working paint into the joins of the woodwork. A group of schoolboys work around the boat: some are painting, others are preparing the oars and buoys. A group of adults, perhaps schoolmasters, inspect the vessel, which now has its sails hoisted.
A name panel is fixed to the stern of the vessel by one of the adults.
Christmas Bazaar: An exhibition is on display in the school hall. There are lamps and light fittings, posters, pots and vases. A wide shot from one end of the hall reveals a huge cut-out “MERRY CHRISTMAS” banner, and an array of streamers and Christmas decorations hanging from the hall ceiling.
A group of schoolboys files into the hall to look at the work. The camera follows them about the room as they inspect the various tables.
Dancing Lessons: In a gym or school hall building, schoolboys practise their dancing. As the boys dance with each other in couples, the schoolmaster twirls nonchalantly in the centre.
School Dinner: Boys file into a dining room, and have their hands inspected by a schoolmaster; one of the lads is pulled back by the hand so the master can have a closer look. The dining room is full of children eating and talking.
