A Tyne Tees Television Newsview report on ‘Operation Hustle’ an international sales conference taking place at Cumming Engine Company in Darlington. Reporter David Dougan speaks with American Mr Marian Dietrich about what the international sales conference is about.
Standing beside the latest model of diesel engine designed and built by Cumming Engine Company of Yarm Road in Darlington, reporter David Dougan provide details of a conference for forty of the company’s international sales managers taking place at the factory entitled ‘Operation Hustle’.
Standing beside David is Mr Marian Dietrich, Vice President and Marketing Director for the Central Area who provides details on the importance of the conference to teach these managers about this new engine believed to be the most advanced diesel engine factory in the world. He explains the reason behind the intense 13-hour days and about a quiz he is running. He believes these managers can’t sell this product unless they know the features. He wants his managers to get up earlier, work harder and give better service to their customers.
