The film begins with a procession down the streets of Sheffield in which there is a horse drawn carriage carrying King George and Queen Mary followed by two royal guards on horses. The next shot shows the Royal couple and other dignitaries on foot with crowds of the people of Sheffield waving them on. The Royals walk up an aisle lined with seats on either side. Queen Mary is not entirely visible, and King George salutes towards the camera. The crowd can be seen lined up furiously waving flags, and a man with a camera is also filming them from above.
After focusing on the children, documented are various scenes of processions which include scouts, policeman, school girls, and men in military uniform. There is a horse procession coming around a corner which is followed by the Royals situated in a carriage and waving to the surrounding crowds gathered outside the building. There are various shots of dignitaries, police, and more processions followed by a scene of the Royals on a balcony. Watching the parade, the King salutes as a military procession passes. The film ends with the King and Queen returning to the carriage before a final shot of the crowd waving flags during their departure.
