Title-Scammonden Oct. 1970.
The film opens with shots taken from a height looking down across a valley onto Scammonden Dam and nearby motorway at Scammondon, near Huddersfield.
There is a shot from a newspaper which reads `The Queen Inaugurates Scammonden Water'. A woman and teenager get out of car and climb over a fence; they smile back at the camera.
The shots are taken from the top of the hill looking down towards the Dam. There are huge crowds of people gathered on a platform beside the water.
Queen Elizabeth arrives for the inauguration of the dam and reservoir. She makes a speech by the side of the water and officially opens the Dam. There are lots of sail boats on the water.
