The film ends with views of caged animals in a zoo.
The film begins with various scenic views of Scotland including snowy mountains, a loch in a valley and waves crashing on rocky sea shores. A view of a castle beside another loch is followed by shots of a couple standing beside The Commando Memorial at Spean Bridge.
The film changes to show a different couple walking along a wooden quay or jetty and the two vehicle ferryboat crossing the water at Kylesku. As it pulls away, the ferry turns 180 degrees. General views follow of waterfalls and sheep on the hills and the Pitlochry Dam and Power Station follow.
Next, a fishing trawler heads out to sea. Canoes are moored on the lake at Peasholm Park, Scarbourgh. A man lays on the ground next to a pond taking a photograph.

Vintage cars parade along Yarm High Street. Close ups follow of one of the car’s engine.
Crowds watch motorbikes, some with sidecars, taking part in a series of scramble races around a small rural circuit. In one sequence the film is shot in slow-motion as the bicycles pass the camera.

At Elmwood Community Centre at Hartburn crowds enjoy a garden fete. On a small platform a man makes a speech into a microphone. A young woman is wearing a Mondrian-style patterned dress and holding a red balloon. A woman’s hands open a handbag looking for a purse. General views follow of the crowds walking around the garden. A chalkboard sign at the fete reads ‘Madam Esmeralda Fortunes Told by Card and Palm. Admission 1/-‘. A group stand beside a marquee. Another woman throws balls at a display of standing coloured metal cans, which she eventually knocks over. A man watches over a small child as she jumps around on a trampoline.
A man holds the hand of a small girl, helping her off a small stage. She is wearing a white dress and holding a white rose, with a sash that reads ‘Yorkshire Rose’. Other costumed children step from the stage including a boy dressed as a chimney sweep, a clown and a girl wearing a green dress with coloured baubles and a sash that reads ‘Salad Days’. A man and woman judge the fancy dress competition. A number of older children step down from the platform including a child dressed as an Egyptian pharaoh and a young girl holding a placard that reads ‘Miss C 1963’.
The film cuts to show various military and civilian aircraft flying low overhead.
A woman crosses a stone bridge and comes down a set of steps. General views of water flowing down a rocky stream and the woman sitting on a rock posing for the camera. The sequence ends with her walking across a meadow with mountains in the background.
General views of Land Rovers and their drivers pulling up on moorland. In another field, a group stand around chatting. The film cuts to a stone frog water feature. General views of people walking around a zoo looking at a parrot sitting on a perch, seals in a pool and flamingos. The film ends with a male peacock display, a number of wolves in their cave and a bear.
