This is a film from the Michael Hobson collection of a trip to Tunis, the capital of Tunisia, in North Africa.
The film begins with a tractor pulling a long trailer behind it across a field. Then it switches to a large white building and children in alleyways. There is a courtyard, and a local family pose for the camera. Two women walk down a street followed by a crowd of children. There are more children on the side streets and a crowd in the market place. They tour the area, filming the local people and places. Following this is footage of the harbour where there appears to be a submarine and a battle ship, as well as many other large ships.
Back on land there is a group of women dressed in white robes. Two local men pose in front of the doorway of an ornate building. There is a panoramic view across the city from the top of tall building. They look down onto a crowded street, with possibly a mosque, and children playing. The film then shows some of the landscape, and what looks like a war grave. They also visit some ancient ruins, presumably Carthage, and the films comes to an end.
