The name on the prow is 'Anneliese K'.  A man wades in the water near a rope ladder which has been deployed down the side of the ship. A man on deck holds on to two ropes. The man in the water uses a long stick to steady himself. Other men stand by on the rocks below the ship. The camera pans along the length of the ship. The sea waves are rolling in on a rocky shoreline. In the distance, out at sea, there's an oil platform. A view from the shore shows an increasingly rough sea surrounding the ship. More views of the cliffs follow, and a brief view of a plane, then another view of the oil platform. General views follow of the light airplane and the oil platform. The film cuts to a snow scene. Looking across a small valley, the camera picks out a caravan parked at the end of a small terrace of houses. Another view shows snow covered cliff tops and houses at Staithes with a dark grey sky in the background. A general view of the village, harbour and cliffs follow. The next view is very over-exposed. Then general views follow of the village and cliffs covered in snow, and snow covered fields beyond the village.
