This is a film of a cruise taken by Leeds photographer Charles Pickard and his wife K.E. Pickard to celebrate their silver wedding anniversary. The film opens with the boat leaving Liverpool, then out at sea, K.E. Pickard rolling deck.  People play deck games, deck tennis, ladies playing deck gold (incl. KEP) rough seas.   Arriving in Las Palmas, there is a man with pair of oxen.  The ship’s log is attached to port handrail, a sailor painting under bridge, sailor’s canary in wooden cage....

KEP buying oranges.  Cave dwellers on hillside seen form the ship.  French women washing clothes on rocks by a stream, and then carrying their produce in baskets, holding them in a line on their way to the market, wearing traditional dress with white hats.
