A small crowd, including some children with their parents, are gathered on the platform where the train has stopped. The Nf 385 Hs engine, pulling a passenger train, sets off. There are close up shots of some of the engines: 7401 LMS, John Blenkinsop, Pecket & Sons Ltd. No 2003 Bristol 1941. Some of the workers stand on the tracks next to the trains.
The John Blenkinsop steam train heads down the track, and there is more footage of the train along its route through a rural West Yorkshire.
The NR 385 Hs is on the track, and it moves towards a tunnel as it hauls different freight trucks. Some trainspotters can be seen along the route. The film ends with the passenger train pulling into the station.
