Title - Holidays 1971
The film begins with the family outside ‘Hillside Luxury Holiday Flats. Following this is footage of St. Nicholas Cliff Lift and a view down from the top of the Spa Cliff Lift onto the roundabout. There are scenes of the South Bay towards the lighthouse. There is an outdoor concert at the Spa. The family visits the gravestone of Anne Bronte before heading onto the castle where one of the women poses seated on a canon. There is a view over the North Bay, and they also go on the Astro Glide ride. The family also tours around some gardens before returning to the beach.
A large crowd is watching a comedy clown performance at the Open Air Theatre. There is a brief fireworks display before the family is back on the beach where some has written “Den, Cil, Win, Bern, Winkle Pickers.” Two women lie on blankets and have a rest. Following this is a view looking down on the South Bay lido. The film finishes with the holidaymakers relaxing in their holiday accommodation.
