The film opens at York Minster as a horse-drawn carriage tour passes. There is a shot of the White Rose building near the Shambles followed by a sign for Donald Pickering Bookseller. More scenes of the Shambles follow before moving onto the Black Swan. Next are Clifford’s Tower and the Merchant...

The film opens at York Minster as a horse-drawn carriage tour passes. There is a shot of the White Rose building near the Shambles followed by a sign for Donald Pickering Bookseller. More scenes of the Shambles follow before moving onto the Black Swan. Next are Clifford’s Tower and the Merchant Adventurers Hall at which some tourists can be seen around the building. Lendal Bridge is filmed from Ouse Bridge before moving onto the Minster, city walls, and Micklegate Bar. There is more footage of the city walls, and the seasonal daffodils are in full bloom. Shots of the River Ouse are followed by scenes at High Petergate including The Hole in the Wall pub. Brief scenes at Walmgate Bar are followed by footage taken of the De Gray rooms from the art gallery fountain. Onto St. William's College, the Treasure’s House, and scenes in the Mister Gardens. Some of the city centre shops and streets are filmed including Stonegate which is full of pedestrians. Coney Street is full of shoppers, there is a shot of the Handsome Cab pub, and there are many shoppers and stalls set up for York’s market on Parliament Street. The film closes with more footage of York Minster lit in the afternoon sun.
