This reel of film contains a combination of commercial and amateur footage taken just after World War II. It includes Movietone Victory Parade, Juex Aquatiques, and amateur film taken by Peter Thornton of Farsley, Leeds while he was stationed in France.

B&W – The remainder of the reel consists of footage shot by Thornton in France just after the war. There is a man in a field who looks like he is harvesting mushrooms. A stationary cart is full of the harvest. A woman and young girl carry a basket of mushrooms to pour into the cart. Elsewhere, there is a man operating some sort of press, perhaps making cider. Liquid from the press drains into a large bucket.
Colour – A farmer shaves a pig which is lying on its side. There are ducks which swim in a pond, and chickens are gathered together picking up feed.
B&W – Men and a few women are harvesting grain. Many drink the contents of a jug, pouring the liquid into small cups. A large haystack can be seen, and there is a machine which separates the grain from the stalks. A horse-drawn carriage makes its way down a country lane, and there are brief exterior shots of a large house or stately home.
In the town centre, pedestrians make their way through. An older woman washes clothing in the river, and there are lots of people gathered at an open air market. An agricultural sign displaying Delamare can be seen in the background.
Colour – There is a greenhouse filled with colourful flowers. Following this is a shot of an orchard or other farming land. A woman hangs washing on a line outside, and two boys saw a log. The film closes with scenic shots of the surrounding area.
