(1933) A chauffer stands with the pet dog in front of the family car parked in front of the house. There is a line of men in hunting gear, with guns and a retriever, standing or sitting behind purpose built hideouts. Countryside can be seen in the background. A group of other men are carrying poles with flags. They pose for the camera near a small lodge and set off with their walking sticks that also at as folding seats. There is more footage of the men from the shooting party, and at times rolling hills can be seen in the background. This portion of the film ends with a shot of a large house and the surrounding grounds.
(1934) The next two sections feature a trip to Canada and New York. In Ottawa, there is a shot of the river and some of the large buildings along the riverbank. Next, they go to Nepean Point. Here, there is a row of canons situated at a vantage point near the river as well as a statue of Samuel de Champlain. A railway bridge over the river can be seen, and this is followed by more footage of Ottawa city centre. There is another railway bridge going over a fast flowing river, close up shots of the water, and finally Niagara Falls. The Falls are filmed from different vantage points. Finally, there are shots of a skyline and some buildings and traffic, possibly Toronto. Now on the other side of the boarder, the trip moves ono New York City. Many of the city’s distinctive landmarks can be seen including the Chrysler building and the Empire State Building. There are views stretched across the city most likely filmed from the top of the Empire State building. A couple of ships can be seen before the film switches to show a family in a garden, with two small children having a go at playing golf.
(1935) At sea, there is a city in the distance with canals and boats. There is a café, gardens and a pleasure boat trips along a river. They then visit a zoo, with a very distinctive entrance, with zebras, elephants, polar bears and penguins. This may be Hamburg in Germany, as this is indicated on the can for the film. There follows a trip along a river, possibly the Rhine.
