This is a film of a new housing development of Bradley Swedish Homes that has just been completed, and also showing a Slingsby T.51 Dart glider.
The film begins showing a new single storey house with a view over a small town in the distance, which has a tall church steeple and an old ruin. It is part of a small new housing development, with the houses seen from various angles and up close. The inside of the houses is filmed, showing the fittings and furniture for the bathroom, kitchen and sitting room. A group of men, including the Mayor and one with a chin curtain beard, are touring the site and hear some speeches. There is a close up of the gas and electricity meters. Inside one of the houses they all have a glass of wine/champagne. There is a sign for “Bradley Swedish Homes Ltd., Andrew Oliver and Sons Ltd. of Hawick, Auctioneers”, which also lists all the other companies that have contributed to the housing development, including one for “Pre-made joinery, Kirkbymoorside”.
The film switches to a large lawn in the front of what looks to be a country house, with a Slingsby T.51 Dart glider, and a notice stating that this was a Design prize winner at the World Championships. A group of men are shown around the plane by Bill (?) Slingsby, and inspect the cockpit.
