This is a film of the Cub Scouts, St Thomas’ Scout Group from the Groves, York, on Pack Holiday to Osmotherley. Title – Cub Scouts Weekend Away The green Scout minibus is driving along pulling a trailer. They arrive in Osmotherley and go into the dormitory. They then have a game of football, and are given drinks. They drive off for a walk along a stream and play another game of football in the countryside, with cub leaders seated on the side watching. Back at the activity centre the Cubs sit drawing and making things. They sit around a room with the leaders having tea and biscuits. When they retire to bed one of the boys is given a goodnight kiss from “Akella” (Cub Leader), while another reads a Tiger comic. The next morning they take their towels to the washroom, before being served breakfast. An adult leader sweeps up near the coal fire, while boys peel spuds. They again go out into the countryside and play games, and they dam the stream. Lastly, they gather in a circle around the flagpole before leaving. Title – The End
