A girl leaves her house (64 Silk Mill Drive, Tinsell, Leeds), and a green bus passes by. The film moves onto highlight various places in Leeds including the Town Hall and a multi-storey car park.
The annual Student Rag Parade is taking place, with many colourful floats, and students in fancy dress, representing various themes. Among the floats is one with a banner for “Huddersfield International.” Students on board the float are dressed with handkerchiefs over their heads holding newspapers with the banner headline, “War.” The cameraman moves amongst the large crowd watching the parade and taking in the atmosphere.
