This is a film made by Doug and Norah Brear of a holiday in Devon, with an informative commentary by Doug Brear.   Title - Chaseley Films Present Title - Devon Holiday ‘62 Norah looks at some postcards of Devon before we see the Greenacres Hotel in Torquay, overlooking the beach and bay, where holidaymakers are sunbathing.  The couple takes a boat trip around the bay and visit Babbacombe by car.  They then have an open-top bus tour of both harbours.  A poster can be seen advertising Charlie Drake playing at the Princess Theatre Torquay, as well as the Charles Ernesco Orchestra and Arthur Askey.  They take a trip along the River Dart and into the sea around Brixham, feeding seagulls.  They visit a castle, Dartmouth, Kingswear and Greenway House, former home of Agatha Christie. They later drive in their Humber car to Fowey, in Cornwall, where they wander around the narrow streets.  They take a car ferry, for two shillings and sixpence, and continue to Polperro where artists are painting in the harbour.  They take another car ferry at Torpoint and continue back to Torquay from where they take a coastal walk looking down onto the harbour.  They later rest on deckchairs on the seafront and Doug checks an exposure They then drive off to visit Buckfest Abbey and Widecombe-in-the-Moor to witness the fair taking place on September 11th.  They look around the village and the market and take a footpath to Cockington. They continue their journey, driving across Prince Moor, stopping to feed ponies, and Norah later sits by the sea in her swimming costume. Title - The End
