Norah sits in her living room with the television on which seems to be showing an episode of ‘Come Dancing’. Norah looks at the local newspaper which has a headline warning of robberies while people are watching TV. Doug come in and together they watch Grandstand on television, with David Coleman presenting, and featuring a motor rally. Doug hears a noise and the two of them race upstairs and into the bedroom. They see the jewellery laid out on a cloth, and they both hide in the wardrobe. After about 40 minutes they emerge, and nothing seems to have happened. They go downstairs only to find that the TV had gone.
