This is the first part of a travelogue made by Doug and Norah Brear about a holiday to Switzerland and Italy. Title - Chaseley Films Present: Title – Our Holiday 1961 The film begins by displaying many holiday brochures. Title - London They begin their holiday in London, visiting Big Ben and Trafalgar Square. They then journey to Southend from where they take a flight and travel to Salzberg. Title – Lucerne The Hotel Dre Konige and the couple do a tour of the sights in the city and of Mount Politus, before going on a pleasure boat on the lake. Title – Mt. Rigi They take a trip to the top of the mountain. Title – Burgenstock They arrive by boat at the Burgensock Bahn, again visiting the sights and going up the mountain to admire the view.  They visit St Nicklausen and continue the boat trip and by train to Wolfens and take the Gerschnialp Trubsee-Bahn, mountain lift.  Norah feeds a cow.  They continue with a boat trip.   Title - Mt. Pilatus There are men in traditional Swiss dress and a band playing near Mount Pilatus, visiting shops in the village. There they take the PilatuBahn mountain lift, stopping halfway to look at wildflowers.  They continue to the top and take in the view before eating in a restaurant. Title - End of Part One Title - Part Two There is a shot of a train. Title – Lugano Norah looks out of a hotel window. They visit some of the sights, including a local market where chicks are being sold.  They take the Funicolare Drahtseilbahn, looking at the view from the top before coming back down. Title - Lake Maggiore Italy They take a trip around the lake, visiting the isle of “Isola Madre”, and the church there.  There are peacocks and a pretty village with a market.  The film finishes with a visit to Stresa Arona on the lake.
