This film by Eric Hall takes a brief look at the world of miniature cars, boats and aeroplanes and the hobbyists who race them. Title – A Hallmark Cameo Title – In Three Elements Title – A film of speed and grace in the ‘miniature’ world Title – Speed on land A small crowd lines the edge of a circular track, near which a sign reads ‘Competitors only’. Men fix wheels to model cars and then run the wheels against a hand-cranked rubber band until the engine fires. A miniature car sits on a table with its body removed and the inner mechanics can be seen from above.  By the track, a man sits at a table with two stopwatches. The men propel their cars with sticks and they speed along the track. Title – Grace on water Flags fly from the mast of a ship. A blackboard had the names of various teams and their yachts, from Yorkshire and further afield. The board also gives the date as 25th-26th April, 1953.  A man in a bobble hat smokes a cigarette and sits by his model yacht. Others make changes to the sails of their boats. The miniature yachts are placed in the water at the edge of a narrow boardwalk and a small boy leans over the edge to touch one.  The boats are seen sailing out onto the lake, followed by competitors fetching in their boats. Title – Speed and grace in the air In a field, two men tinker with a model aeroplane. A group of men watch as it takes to the air and three others walk towards the camera with planes under their arms. A plane lies in the grass with its propeller turning in the wind. Other remote control planes are seen flying and one does some aerobatic manoeuvres. Title – Aw shucks! Just playboys…Give me real ‘jets’ every time! A small boy in a cloth cap, shorts and knee socks sits in a deckchair. Title – The End
