This is a film of children at the 21st Avenue School in Hull on a trip to York. A school group are crossing a bridge over a river before all congregating on grass on a sunny day.  They have a look inside a church which has an impressive stained glass window.  Next they congregate on College Street in York, in front of St William’s college.  Then they take a look down the Shambles and visit the Castle Museum.  They walk towards Clifford’s Tower and take a boat trip along the River Ouse, taking in the sights along the way.  They are next seen on a shopping street, with parked cars, most of them carrying shopping bags, possibly in Harrogate.  The film finishes with them getting off the coach, carrying their bags, back at the school.
