This is a film marking the 800th anniversary celebrations of the Borough of Beverley.  Celebrations include a procession and a special service in the Beverley Minster with the Archbishop of York, Dr. Temple. Title – Beverley Celebrates its 800th Birthday as a Charter Borough with a special service in the Minster. Title – Filmed exclusively. The theatre by Debenham and Co. York. There is a procession into the Minster led by local dignitaries, including firemen, the Girl Guides, the Scouts and cadets, with a military guard of honour. Intertitle – Leaving the Minster The procession is then seen leaving the Minster. Intertitle – The Archbishop of York, Dr. Temple is the successor to Archbishop Durstan who granted the first Charter to Beverley in 1129 AD The Archbishop of York leads the procession out of the Minster, followed by top hatted dignitaries.  He is briefly seen again standing at a table outside where he gives a speech.
