This is a visit by a sub-committee of a town council to a recently opened swimming pool, the Afan Lido in Port Talbot, with a view to building a new one of their own. Title – Special baths sub-committee redevelopment of baths establishments Visit to Afan Lido (Port Talbot) 19th April 1967 Photography by the Committee Clerk The group of sub-committee visitors, led by two women, board a light aircraft.  The take-off, flight and landing are filmed.  The outside of Afan Lido is shown from various vantage points.  It then shows the plaque for the opening of the baths, followed by the cafeteria and then the pool itself, with some boys swimming, and with impressive seating and diving boards.  They then visit the sports centre, which has photographs on the wall of various sporting events and personalities. Next stop the Bar and the Theatre Conference Hall, where there is a rehearsal in progress.  The visiting group then re-board their plane and head back.
