This is a film showing various events in Skidby over summer and winter, with activities around the village, including garden parties and sledging in the snow.
The film begins showing a well-tended garden having a well, and then Windmill Service Station, with the woman serving behind the counter at the Post office, ‘West end Stores’. There is a view down a road lined with bungalows, and of houses on Orchard Road. A group of people are stood outside the Church on Church Rise. A group of residents meet in a street in their cars and motorcycles and scooters, holding pieces of paper. They then all set off, one at a time. They meet up at the village hall and there are various views of the church. After a short break we see a woman making a speech at a garden party event with a children’s fancy dress competition, and people having tea, watched over by an elderly vicar.
The film switches to winter, with people skiing and sledging down a snow covered hill. The snow piles up around the village as it comes down heavily. The film then switches back again to summer and another garden party, with ladies sat drinking tea. Women are then seen leaving a house with several prams parked outside.
