There is a poster for a Daily Telegraph Army Display at Strensall, York, on Saturday and Sunday, August 24th/25th, with the Red Devils and the North Lancs. Parachute Club. There is a display of military equipment of the Royal Engineers and weapons of the Royal Artillery. Children are driven around on armoured vehicles. Some army officers are draped in leopard skins. There is a marching band, followed by parachutists. Then there is a motorcycle display by the Corps of Signals. They queue for a hotdog and have a cup of tea. A couple of male visitors have a go on the climbing frame, and there is a combat demonstration, using helicopters.
