A man addresses a crowd which are seated behind a rope fence in a field. Then heavy horses in decorated riding gear are led around the field. They are followed by children in fancy dress on horseback riding around the field, and then by adults also riding around the field on horseback. The heavy horses are teamed up, and one is awarded a trophy, with film of some of those watching from the sides. Then there is a children’s show jumping competition, followed by an adult’s show jumping competition; part of which involves having to stop, jump off and light a cigarette. On the side-lines there is a van and a loudspeaker of ‘Vaughan’s Sound, Tennyson Avenue, Hull’.
