This is a film made by a member of the Camping Club of Great Britain and Ireland, camping at the Walton and Polesden Lacey Club sites and on the continent.
The film begins with two women pulling a cart across a camping field. Then a woman walks across with a water container. Cars, including Morris Minors, and tents are in a circle around the campsite. There is a river, most likely the Thames, and then there is a man washing under a tent, and a family playing in their swimwear (colours faded). The campers play some silly games, such as cricket with a large ball, wearing silly outfits. On the other side of the river to the campsite is an 18th century building with a rounded tower.
The film switches to a campsite high up on a hill where a boy is pulling a donkey carrying a load of cut grass. There is then a view of a coast and a coastal road and then looking down onto a valley. Tents can be seen in a wooded area (not in the UK). A woman in a bikini is on a beach with her Morris Minor. Then we see a group sat at a café with palm trees. The film quickly switches between a local wedding, a market and the beach. At the campsite a woman makes tea. There is a panoramic view over a mountainous landscape with Gothic buildings. A funicular railway goes up a mountain near some statues of classical figures. They drive along a mountain road and board a ferry on their Morris Minor.
The film switches to a campsite in England, with campers gathered around for some games, with tables at one end and a man speaking through a loudhailer. There is a view around the campsite, with the tents, cars and a motorcycle and sidecar, followed by all the campers having some kind of scrimmage.
The next part of the film shows a small fishing village harbour and estuary with sailing boats. They take a ride on a small boat along the coast. Back at the campsite there is a game of volleyball. A dachshund plays with a rubber ring, while a family sits in front of their tent drinking tea. Three people push a trolley across the field laden with luggage. They take it to a wooden hut constructed on bricks where they unload it. There is a banner for ‘Adam & Lane & Neeve Ltd., Falcon Branns Tents’. A couple put up their tent. Two women come away from the sea and along the beach carrying large black mussels. Back at the campsite two women play with the dachshund while two men do the washing up. Some are playing volleyball with a rubber ring and two men are breaking rocks with a sledgehammer. Then we see the storage hut having been burnt down, and still smouldering in places with goods spread across the ground. A group of men have a game of football on the campsite while the grass is being mowed. Some campers have rucksacks on their back ready to leave. There is another view of the coast from high up and then back on the beach with the dachshund and the film comes to an end.
