This is a film that was possibly made by the son of Frank Charman, a member of the Yorkshire District Association of The Camping Club of Great Britain and Ireland. The film shows families on holiday at an unidentified campsite next to a canal, and a vintage car rally.
The film begins at a riding school. A man puts a new shoe on a pony while one of the girl riders waits. They set off riding along a path. A couple sit outside their tent on a campsite. Another couple blow up an airbed, while a family sits drinking tea outside their tent. There is a long queue to buy milk from a milk float. There is a view across the campsite. A baby is on a swing which has been rigged up between two tent poles. Canadian geese and young moorhens are on a nearby river or canal, where children feed some swans. There are fields of sheep, deer and cows. Next to the campsite boats go along a canal, one of which stops at a lock, opened by a lock gate keeper. Boats pass through both ways. The film switches to a vintage car rally, with each car being stopped and recorded.
