This film documents some of the building work in Amerdale at the time that Amerdale Hall was about to undergo refurbishment.
The film begins with school children playing in the playground of the school. One of the outbuildings, Amerdale Hall, has a board attached to the door showing the amount that has been raised towards a rebuilding fund for the Hall. There are some farm animals, and following this is footage of a new building under construction. A boy pets a pony, and then building workers can be seen constructing one of the walls. A couple is seated at a nearby table where they are having tea in the sunshine. A roofer makes some adjustments to a tile before carrying it on to the roof on his head. From inside the half complete building a church can be seen close by, and the film comes to an end.
