This is a film of Grassington village and surroundings in the early 1980s.  The film documents the heavy snow and flooding the village had at that time.  The film begins with several old photos of the Square at Grassington before showing it as it was at the time of the filming, outside the Folk Museum.  There is an Arts and Crafts Exhibition.  People are wandering around the shops, some, including two clergy, are shown close up.  The film briefly runs at too high a speed.  Outside the Grassington House Hote,l there is publicity for a scheme to buy a bullock.  There are then views over the village and surrounding area taken from up in a balloon.  Following this, the filmmaker returns to the village on a rainy day.  A woman sits inside with a cup of tea, and there are scenes of the village covered in thick snow, with heavy snow falling.  This is followed by bad floods and a very high river.
