At the Scott trial, in Swaledale, the film gives details of the event and its history. Parts of the race are shown, with riders going over a rocky river near rapids. They continue up Washfall splash stream and then climb up over the moors. They go on through the old lead mine workings, and up slippery Shale, and they all get blocked at the “Grand Canyon”.
In Sheffield there is a semi-final meeting of the World speedway championship at the home of the Sheffield Tigers.
Finally, the last event featured is the Austrian Grand Prix at Salzburg, showing the 350 and 500cc, with Barry Sheen having to drop out, and Agostini winning both races.
