The film begins showing the holiday journey to Switzerland on a map. There is a brief, bumpy view of the coach journey before finally arriving in Brussels. Here, the ‘Martini Center’ can be seen. Then they journey to Paris where Notre Dame Cathedral can be seen covered in scaffolding. The journey continues onto Weggis in Switzerland. People can be seen sunbathing on the sand next to the lake. They take a boat trip along the lake, passing a memorial to Schiller. Next the family is at a mountain café. There is another couple at the café who also have a cine camera. The family continues their journey by coach and look out at the landscape. They stop off at a tourist spot up a mountain, visiting some ice caves. Warburton films from front of the coach as it makes its way around tight hairpin bends on the mountain roads. They stop at Grimselpass, where Mrs Warburton, Peter and two other men lark about.
Title – Fin.
The second part of the film shows some details of the newly opened Coventry Cathedral. The family then takes a boat trip past Plymouth. On the trip, many naval ships, including an aircraft carrier and a passing car ferry can be seen. They stop off at Plymouth where they visit the Armada Memorial, the statue of Drake, the lighthouse, and walk around the harbour before the film comes to an end.
