This is a whimsical film made by the Sheffield Students Film Unit about themselves, larking about and putting on films.
The film begins with members of the Film Unit filming a couple sitting on the grass larking about in Western Park. The couple get up and run off, chased by the film crew and park keeper. One of the cameramen stops to wash his film in the pond. The film switches to the projection room of the cinema, in Graves in the Students Union, where a film is being loaded onto a projector, and then projected: the Beatles film ‘Help’, directed by Richard Lester. Then there are a series of other film posters: for What’s New Pussycat, Le Fou, Cat Ballou, Look Back in Anger, Viva Maria, and The Collector. People come to buy tickets for the showing of Help. The list of films being shown for the year shows it is in November. Another poster shows Ents presenting the Searchers. A large group of male students suddenly, and comically, descend upon the Film Unit desk to get tickets. Inside the offices of the Film Unit various members pose holding up film to the light. The film then returns to the park where the chase after the couple continues.
