This is a film of the wedding of Michael Lewis and Ann Cass at Selby Abbey in 1973. Title – Wedding Invitation An invitation card is shown from Mr and Mrs Cass of Ouse Bank, Selby, for the marriage of their daughter Ann to Michael William James Lewis at Selby Abbey on 1st September 1973, and afterwards at the Saxon Inn Motor Hotel, Whitley Bridge. The film begins showing Selby Abbey in the distance, followed by a woman with her hair in a drying bag, and the table covered in wedding presents.  A man brushes his hair, and Ann is applying make-up.  Another woman is putting rollers in her hair, while another sorts out a wig.  Other family members are also getting ready, including Ann.  A woman holds up a small girl (Ethal and Nicola?).  Ann emerges in her wedding dress.  At the Abbey the bridesmaids wait as Ann arrives with her father.  Brother Bryan sits outside with Nicola. After the service the newlyweds emerge from the Abbey with the other guests.  Pam holds Nicola.  They all mill around the Abbey as photographs are taken.  The newlyweds finally get into their waiting car, getting covered in confetti, and arrive at the reception, followed by the other guests.  Inside the newlyweds cut the wedding cake and take their place at the head table.  The guests sit chatting before eating and are stood chatting afterwards.   Outside there are more photographs, before the newlyweds leave again.  Two women (the mothers?) pose holding bouquets and there is some larking about and the film comes to an end.
