Title – Territorials arriving in Beverley Sunday July 25th 1937
A train pulls into the station where a group of officers are standing on the platform. On the station forecourt the soldiers march off, led by a band. Behind them there are a group of girls with prams. Their kit is loaded onto the back of an army truck. They march past the camera with their rifles, and then into town, escorted by a posse of school children, with the Minster in the distance. There is a road sign for the A1079 and the A164. The officers, of taller stature, lead the men. The march, filmed from various locations, seems to get bigger with more marching bands and soldiers.
They make their way onto the Westwood, where they have set up camp. Here they march past the Blackmill tower, led by two officers on horseback. A flag is flying for the Hindoostan 5th Battalion Leicester, showing the badge of a "royal tiger". Some cooks are cooking meat, while a large pot is taken off a fire and the boiling water is drained off. The pots are shown to contain potatoes and peas, and the film comes to an end.
